PUBLIC NOTICE OF SEATS UP FOR ELECTION AT FIG GARDEN FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
The district has Directors whose seats are up for election at the November 3, 2020, Presidential General Election. Due to the termed seats of a Board member, the District is searching for a district registered voter to apply for appointment. Filing period will be open July 13-August 7, 2020. In light of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of our employees and candidates, pursuant to California Elections Code 10510, the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters is authorizing the
district secretary to issue Declaration of Candidacy Forms to incumbents and new candidates seeking to run for office within the District. To initiate the process, candidates should download a Candidate Application Form from the website at
www.votefresnocounty.com. The candidate must complete the application and return it via email to clerk-elections@fresnocountyca.gov, or by fax to (559) 488-3279. Our office will prepare all filing forms for each candidate and send them electronically, or by fax to the district secretary during the filing period.
The District Board meets quarterly at Fire Station 20, 4537 North Wishon, and consists of three Board members.
The appointed Board member will also need to complete a Form 700, Statement of Economic Interests.
